RECRUITMENT NOTIFICATION – PROBATIONARY OFFICER (PO)

Karnataka Bank, a leading private sector bank known for its digital advancement and nationwide presence, invites dynamic individuals to apply for the position of Probationary Officer (Scale-I). The selected candidates will be posted at various branches/offices across India.

WHO CAN APPLY:

Qualification Criteria:

• Postgraduates in any discipline, or
• Graduates in Agricultural Science, or
• Graduates in Law (5-year integrated course only),
  from a University/Institution/Board recognized by the Government of India/UGC/other Government regulatory bodies.

Cut-off date for qualification: 01-11-2024.
Candidates awaiting results or currently pursuing post-graduation are not eligible to apply.

Age Criteria:

• Maximum age of 28 years as of 01-11-2024 (Candidates must be born on or after 02-11-1996).
• Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

SELECTION PROCESS:

• Online Test: Tentatively scheduled for 22-12-2024, in the following centers:
  • Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, New Delhi
  • Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Mangaluru
  • Dharwad/Hubballi, Mysuru, Shivamogga, Kalaburgi
• Interview: Candidates successful in the online test will be called for an interview at the Bank’s Head Office in Mangaluru or another location as decided by the Bank.
• No allowances/reimbursement will be provided for attending the test/interview.

APPOINTMENT & EMOLUMENTS:

• Selected candidates will undergo an Induction Training Programme at the Bank’s Staff Training College in Mangaluru (or another location as decided by the Bank).
  Note: Training will be at the candidate’s own expense.
• On successful completion of training, candidates will be posted to various branches/offices of the bank.
• Probation Period: 1 year. Upon satisfactory completion, candidates will be confirmed in the role subject to the bank’s rules and regulations.

SERVICE BOND:

Selected candidates will be required to sign an Undertaking to serve the Bank for a minimum of three years. Failure to comply will result in the candidate being required to pay liquidated damages as specified in the appointment letter.

2. Complete the registration process and fill in the required details. After registration, you will receive your Application Number via email.

B. Payment of Fees

1. Candidates can pay via Debit/Credit Card, UPI, or Mobile Wallets.

FINAL INSTRUCTIONS:

• After completing the application process and fee payment, print the application form and fee payment details for your records.

2. Registration Process:

• Click on the link “REGISTRATION FOR PROBATIONARY OFFICERS (SCALE-I).”
• Fill in all required basic details carefully. Please note that once entered, details cannot be edited at this stage.
• After completing the details, click on Register.
• Upon successful registration, the system will generate an Application Number.

3. Completion of Registration:

• After successful registration, a message will appear on the screen confirming your registration.
• The login credentials (Application Number & Date of Birth) will be sent to the candidate’s registered email ID. These credentials will be used for future logins.

4. Fill in Personal Details:

• Candidates should carefully fill in all required personal details.
• After entering the details, click on Save & Continue to proceed.

5. Upload Documents:

• Upload your photo and signature as per the specifications provided.
• After successful upload, click on Save & Continue to proceed.

6. Preview of Details:

• Review the details entered in the application form.

Candidates applying for the Executive – Sales and Operations (ESO) position must meet the following criteria:

• Age:
  • Minimum: 20 years
  • Maximum: 25 years
    Candidates must be born between October 2, 1999, and October 1, 2004 (both dates inclusive).
• Educational Qualification:
  • A graduate in any discipline from a university recognized/approved by the Government or Government Bodies (e.g., AICTE, UGC, etc.).
  • A diploma course is not considered sufficient for eligibility.
• Computer Literacy:
  Candidates must have proficiency in computers/IT-related aspects.

Note: Candidates must provide original documents supporting their identity and eligibility during the selection process. Once the online application is submitted, no changes will be allowed in the candidate’s details (e.g., category, contact information, etc.).

E. Emoluments, Career Prospects, and Service Conditions:

G. Educational Qualifications:

i. Graduate Requirement:
Applicants must be graduates from a recognized university. Passing only a diploma course will not be considered as fulfilling the eligibility criteria. The university or institute must be recognized/approved by Government bodies such as AICTE, UGC, etc.

ii. Mark-sheets & Degree Certificate:
Candidates must possess valid Mark-sheets (year/semester-wise or consolidated) and Degree and/or Provisional Degree Certificate issued by the University, showing that they are graduates as of October 01, 2024 (cut-off date). The date mentioned on the final year/semester mark-sheet or Degree/Provisional degree certificate will be considered as the date of graduation. In cases where results are posted online by the University/Institute, the web-based certificate must be signed and certified by the appropriate authority of the University/Institute, indicating the date of passing. Candidates must ensure they have proper mark sheets and certificates before registering.
