RECRUITMENT NOTIFICATION – PROBATIONARY OFFICER (PO)
Karnataka Bank, a leading private sector bank known for its digital advancement and nationwide presence, invites dynamic individuals to apply for the position of Probationary Officer (Scale-I). The selected candidates will be posted at various branches/offices across India.
WHO CAN APPLY:
Qualification Criteria:
- Postgraduates in any discipline, or
- Graduates in Agricultural Science, or
- Graduates in Law (5-year integrated course only),
from a University/Institution/Board recognized by the Government of India/UGC/other Government regulatory bodies.
Cut-off date for qualification: 01-11-2024.
Candidates awaiting results or currently pursuing post-graduation are not eligible to apply.
Age Criteria:
- Maximum age of 28 years as of 01-11-2024 (Candidates must be born on or after 02-11-1996).
- Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
Nationality:
- Only candidates of Indian nationality are eligible to apply.
APPLICATION FEE (NON-REFUNDABLE):

PAY & EMOLUMENTS:
- Starting Basic Pay: ₹48,480 per month in the pay scale: ₹48,480 – 2000/7 – 62,480 – 2340/2 – 67,160 – 2680/7 – 85,920.
- Additional allowances like DA, HRA, and other benefits as per the bank’s rules.
- Current CTC is approximately ₹1,17,000/- per month at metro centers.
SELECTION PROCESS:
- Online Test: Tentatively scheduled for 22-12-2024, in the following centers:
- Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, New Delhi
- Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Mangaluru
- Dharwad/Hubballi, Mysuru, Shivamogga, Kalaburgi
- Interview: Candidates successful in the online test will be called for an interview at the Bank’s Head Office in Mangaluru or another location as decided by the Bank.
- No allowances/reimbursement will be provided for attending the test/interview.
APPOINTMENT & EMOLUMENTS:
- Selected candidates will undergo an Induction Training Programme at the Bank’s Staff Training College in Mangaluru (or another location as decided by the Bank).
Note: Training will be at the candidate’s own expense. - On successful completion of training, candidates will be posted to various branches/offices of the bank.
- Probation Period: 1 year. Upon satisfactory completion, candidates will be confirmed in the role subject to the bank’s rules and regulations.
SERVICE BOND:
Selected candidates will be required to sign an Undertaking to serve the Bank for a minimum of three years. Failure to comply will result in the candidate being required to pay liquidated damages as specified in the appointment letter.
HOW TO APPLY:
Eligible candidates are advised to apply online only, between 30-11-2024 and 10-12-2024 through the official website of Karnataka Bank. No other means/mode of application will be accepted. Carefully review the detailed notification before applying and remitting fees.

EXAMINATION DETAILS:
The online examination will consist of the following objective-type multiple choice and descriptive tests:

GUIDELINES FOR APPLICATION:
A. Application Registration
- Visit the official website of Karnataka Bank (www.karnatakabank.com), navigate to the Career Page, and click on the “APPLY ONLINE” option.
- Complete the registration process and fill in the required details. After registration, you will receive your Application Number via email.
- Upload the photo and signature as per the given specifications.
- Review the details and proceed to Payment of the application fee.
- Submit the application after successful payment.
B. Payment of Fees
- Candidates can pay via Debit/Credit Card, UPI, or Mobile Wallets.
- Carefully follow the instructions for the payment process, ensuring the correct fee is paid.
- Upon successful payment, you will receive a confirmation email.
FINAL INSTRUCTIONS:
- After completing the application process and fee payment, print the application form and fee payment details for your records.
- Do not send the printout to the Bank. Ensure that all details entered in the form are accurate.
APPLICATION REGISTRATION
1. Visit the Bank’s Website:
- Go to www.karnatakabank.com > Career Page and click on the “APPLY ONLINE” option. This will redirect you to the application process page.
2. Registration Process:
- Click on the link “REGISTRATION FOR PROBATIONARY OFFICERS (SCALE-I).”
- Fill in all required basic details carefully. Please note that once entered, details cannot be edited at this stage.
- After completing the details, click on Register.
- Upon successful registration, the system will generate an Application Number.
3. Completion of Registration:
- After successful registration, a message will appear on the screen confirming your registration.
- The login credentials (Application Number & Date of Birth) will be sent to the candidate’s registered email ID. These credentials will be used for future logins.
4. Fill in Personal Details:
- Candidates should carefully fill in all required personal details.
- After entering the details, click on Save & Continue to proceed.
5. Upload Documents:
- Upload your photo and signature as per the specifications provided.
- After successful upload, click on Save & Continue to proceed.
6. Preview of Details:
- Review the details entered in the application form.
- If needed, make any corrections before clicking on Continue for Payment.
7. Payment of Application Fee:
- Upon clicking Continue for Payment, the fee details will be auto-populated on the screen.
- Verify the fee details and proceed to make the payment.
8. Final Submission: After successful payment of the application fee, you can proceed with the Final Submission of the application.
