Age Relaxation and Eligibility Criteria for New India Assurance Recruitment 2024
Age Limit (as on 01/12/2024):
Minimum Age: 21 years
Maximum Age: 30 years
Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/12/1994 and not later than 01/12/2003 (both dates inclusive).
Upper Age Relaxation:
The following relaxations in the upper age limit will be allowed for candidates belonging to specific categories:

Important Notes:
The relaxation in upper age limit for SC / ST / OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates is allowed on a cumulative basis with only one of the remaining categories for which age relaxation is permitted.
Candidates seeking age relaxation must submit the necessary certificates at the time of the Regional Language Test and any subsequent stage of the recruitment process.
Ex-Servicemen: If an Ex-Serviceman has once joined a government job after availing of benefits given to them as an Ex-Serviceman for re-employment, their Ex-Serviceman status for the purpose of re-employment in government ceases. However, they can still avail of age relaxation applicable to Ex-Servicemen.
Ex-Servicemen applying before joining civil employment: Candidates applying as Ex-Servicemen before joining any civil employment can avail the benefits of reservation. They must provide a self-declaration with details of their applications for vacancies before joining the civil job.
Educational Qualification (as on 01/12/2024):
Minimum Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
Candidates should have passed English as one of the subjects at SSC / HSC / Intermediate / Graduation level.
Regional Language Proficiency: Candidates must have knowledge of reading, writing, and speaking the regional language of the state/UT they wish to apply for. A language test will be conducted before final selection. Candidates who do not meet the required proficiency in the regional language will be disqualified.
Selection Procedure for New India Assurance Company Limited Recruitment
The selection procedure for the recruitment of Assistants consists of two online examinations: Tier I (Preliminary Examination) and Tier II (Main Examination), followed by a Regional Language Test. Candidates who qualify in the Main Examination will be shortlisted for the Regional Language Test, which is qualifying in nature.
The Preliminary Examination is conducted for 100 marks and consists of three sections. The exam will have a total duration of 60 minutes.

Qualifying Marks: Candidates must obtain a minimum total score (as decided by the Company) to qualify for the Main Examination.
Penalty for Wrong Answers: For each wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty. No marks will be deducted for un-attempted questions.
Regional Language Test (Qualifying in Nature)
Candidates qualifying in the Main Examination will be called for the Regional Language Test, which will be conducted to assess the candidate’s proficiency in the regional language of the state or Union Territory they are applying for.
This test is qualifying in nature, and no marks will be awarded for it.
Candidates who do not qualify in the Regional Language Test will be disqualified from further stages of the selection process.
Final Selection:
Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared state-wise and category-wise based on candidates’ performance in the Main Examination, subject to qualifying the Regional Language Test.
Tie-breaking: If two or more candidates have equal marks in the merit list, the older candidate (by age) will be preferred for selection.

SBI Clerk 2024 Important Dates
The dates for prelims and mains examination for the SBI Clerk Exam have been released with the official SBI Clerk Notification 2024 on 16th December 2024. The SBI Clerk 2024 Online Form link has been activated from 17th December 2024 onwards at http://sbi.co.in/, https://sbi.co.in/web/careers. Check important dates from the table below.

Note: The application fee once paid is non-refundable and cannot be held for any other examination or selection. The fee must be paid online.
SBI Clerk Educational Qualifications (as of 31/12/2024)
Candidates must hold a valid graduation degree (UG) in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
Candidates with integrated dual degree (IDD) certificates should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31st December 2024.
Candidates in the final year/semester of their graduation may also apply, but they must provide proof of passing their graduation exam on or before 31st December 2024, if provisionally selected.
SBI Clerk Age Limit (as of 01/04/2024)
Candidates must be between 20 and 28 years old, meaning they must have been born not earlier than 2nd April 1996 and not later than 1st April 2004 (both days inclusive).

The SBI Clerk (Junior Associates) 2024 selection process consists of two phases:

Candidates must clear both phases to receive an appointment letter from SBI. There will be no provision for Inter Circle Transfer or Inter State Transfer for Junior Associates who are recruited.
Note: Trained apprentices of SBI may receive weightage in the Mains Exam by awarding 2.5% of the maximum marks (i.e., 5 marks out of 200 marks) as bonus marks.

To prepare effectively for the exam, candidates need to be familiar with the exam pattern. There are separate patterns for the SBI Clerk Prelims and SBI Clerk Mains exams.
