The lower and upper age limits for the post(s) listed in the Vacancy Table will be considered as of January 1, 2025.
For posts at 7th CPC Level 5 and 6 (Graduate-level Posts), candidates’ dates of birth should fall within the following ranges (both dates inclusive):

Examination Fee
Candidates applying for the posts listed in this CEN must pay the prescribed fee according to their category, as detailed below:

Modes of Payment of Fee
a. Online Payment: The fee must be paid online via internet banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI. All applicable service charges will be borne by the candidate.
b. Payment Method: Fee payment is only available through online methods. No other payment modes will be accepted.
c. Fee Exemption: Applications received without the prescribed fee will be rejected without consideration. No appeals or representations against such rejections will be entertained.
Exam Details
1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Questions: 100 (General Awareness: 40, Mathematics: 30, General Intelligence and Reasoning: 30)
- Duration for PwBD candidates with Scribe: 120 minutes
- Negative Marking: 1/3 mark for each wrong answer
- Purpose: Screening; standard aligns with educational requirements for posts
- Minimum Marks for Eligibility: UR: 40%, EWS: 40%, OBC-NCL: 30%, SC: 30%, ST: 25% (PwBD candidates may have a 2-mark relaxation)
2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Shortlisting: 15 times the number of vacancies, based on 1st Stage CBT scores
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Questions: 120 (General Awareness: 50, Mathematics: 35, General Intelligence and Reasoning: 35)
- Duration for PwBD candidates with Scribe: 120 minutes
- Negative Marking: 1/3 mark for each wrong answer
- Minimum Marks for Eligibility: UR: 40%, EWS: 40%, OBC-NCL: 30%, SC: 30%, ST: 25% (PwBD candidates may have a 2-mark relaxation)
- Purpose: Shortlisting for document verification or further tests
Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) (for Station Master candidates)
- Qualifying Marks: Minimum T-Score of 42 in each test battery
- Shortlisting: 8 times the number of vacancies for each community
- No Negative Marking: In CBAT
- Merit List: 70% from 2nd Stage CBT, 30% from CBAT
Typing Skill Test (TST) (for Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist)
- Qualifying Speed: 30 WPM in English or 25 WPM in Hindi
- Exemption: Available for certain PwBD candidates
- Merit Based On: Performance in 2nd Stage CBT or TST exempted PwBD candidates
Document Verification (DV)
- Shortlisting: Based on merit and number of vacancies
- Tie-Breaking: Age first, then alphabetical order
- Conditions: Subject to Medical Fitness Test, verification of certificates, and character verification
