RBI Grade B Officer Salary Structure
- Basic Pay: Rs. 55,200/- per month
- Other Allowances and Benefits (monthly):
- Special Allowance
- Grade Allowance
- Dearness Allowance
- Local Allowance
- Compensatory Allowance
- Special Grade Allowance
- Learning Allowance
- House Rent Allowance (HRA) additional to be calculated separately
- Gross Emoluments (without HRA): Rs. 1,22,717/- per month (approximately)
- Total Gross Salary (including HRA): To be calculated based on HRA applicable
For Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)- (General)
Education Qualification:
- Candidates must have completed their graduation in any discipline or equivalent technical or professional qualification.
- Minimum 60% marks required for General candidates; 50% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants.
- Candidates with Post-Graduation or equivalent technical qualification must have a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate of all semesters/years; pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants.
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years (As on 1st July 2024)
For Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DSIM)
Education Qualification:
- Candidates must have completed their Master’s Degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Mathematical Economics/Econometrics/Statistics & Informatics (from IIT-Kharagpur) or Applied Statistics & Informatics (from IIT-Bombay).
- Minimum 55% marks required.
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years (As on 1st July 2024)
For Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DEPR)
Education Qualification:
- Candidates must have completed their Master’s Degree in Economics/Econometrics/Quantitative Economics/Mathematical Economics/Integrated Economics Course/Finance.
- Minimum 55% marks required.
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years (As on 1st July 2024)
Important Dates for RBI Grade B 2024
- Online Application Activation: The link for online application submission will be activated on 25th July 2024, immediately after the release of the detailed RBI Grade B Notification 2024.
- Application Deadline: Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria and age limit must submit their application forms before the due date, which is 16th August 2024.
- Application Process: The registration process is exclusively conducted online at the official website www.rbi.org.in. No other means of application submission will be accepted.
Application Fee Details
- For General/OBC Candidates:
- Application Fee: Rs. 850 + 18% GST
- For SC/ST/PWD Candidates:
- Application Fee: Rs. 100 + 18% GST
- Exemption:
- Employees of RBI are exempted from paying the application fee for RBI Grade B 2024.
- Payment Method:
- The application fee should be paid through the specified online mode during the application process.
RBI Grade B 2024 Exam Pattern
- Preliminary Exam:
- Total Questions: 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Marks: Each question carries 1 mark.
- Sections: General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and Reasoning.
- Negative Marking: 1/4th mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- No deduction of marks for unanswered questions.
- Section-wise Timings:
- Each section will have separate timings allocated in the RBI Grade B Exam.
