India-US Joint HADR Exercise “Tiger Triumph – 24” Commences

  • Bilateral tri-Service exercise between India and the US, aimed at enhancing interoperability for conducting Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations.
  • Exercise to run until the end of the month, focusing on refining Standard Operating Procedures for smooth coordination between the two forces.
  • Indian Navy ships, helicopters, landing crafts, Indian Army personnel, vehicles, and Rapid Action Medical Team to participate, while US representation includes Navy ships with US Marine Corps and Army troops.
  • Exercise conducted on the Eastern Seaboard of India to simulate HADR scenarios and strengthen cooperation between the two nations.

  • MoU signed in New Delhi aims to prevent and combat human trafficking, with a focus on women and children.
  • NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma emphasizes the crucial role of Railway Protection Force personnel in addressing crimes against women and children, highlighting that 70% of human trafficking cases involve women and girls.
  • Director General of Railway Protection Force, Manoj Yadava, underscores the objective of providing a safe travel experience for women and ensuring that the railway network is not exploited for atrocities against women, including trafficking.
