- The National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) has introduced a mobile app called “NCRB Sankalan of Criminal Laws,” designed to be a comprehensive guide providing complete information about the new criminal laws, which will come into effect on July 1st.
About the App: The “NCRB Sankalan of Criminal Laws” app compiles the new criminal laws, including Bharatiya Nayaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam. It features an index linking all chapters and sections of these new laws. This app is intended for use by the general public, court officers, advocates, law students, and police officers to enhance their understanding of the new criminal laws. It will be available for download on Google Play Store, Apple Store, and in a desktop version from the official websites of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and NCRB.
Purpose of the App
The Sankalan app is designed to facilitate navigation through the new criminal laws, acting as a bridge between the old and new laws. It serves as a comprehensive guide for all stakeholders. The app functions in offline mode as well, ensuring accessibility in remote areas so that stakeholders can access the information they need around the clock.
