Cabinet Ministers of India 2024 in PM Modi 3.0, Check Complete List
The recently concluded 2024 Lok Sabha elections have paved the way for the formation of a new council of ministers under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) unanimously elected Modi as their leader on June 5th, preparations are underway for his swearing-in ceremony, which will be attended by several foreign dignitaries from the neighborhood and Indian Ocean regions.
BJP’s Electoral Performance
- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged as the single largest party in the 18th Lok Sabha, securing 240 seats. This marks a significant decrease from their previous tallies of 303 seats in 2019 and 282 seats in 2014.
- However, the party’s performance has been sufficient to form the government at the center. The Indian National Congress, the principal opposition party, managed to secure 99 seats.
Composition: In the previous Modi government, after the last reshuffle, the council comprised the Prime Minister and 78 ministers, including 29 Cabinet Ministers, 3 Ministers of State (Independent Charge), and 47 Ministers of State.

Indian Navy Gets its First Woman Helicopter Pilot
- Sub Lieutenant Anamika B. Rajeev became the Indian Navy’s first woman helicopter pilot during a passing out parade held in the naval air station INS Rajali at Arakkonam in Ranipet district.
- A total of 21 officers were awarded the prestigious ‘Golden Wings’ by Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command.
- A passing out parade was held on June 7 to mark the graduation of the 102nd Helicopter Conversion Course.

Priyanka Jarkiholi Youngest Tribal Woman to Win in Lok Sabha
- Congress nominee and Minister Satish Jarkiholi’s daughter Priyanka Jarkiholi has won from Chikkodi, defeating incumbent MP and BJP leader Annasaheb Jolle.
- Priyanka Jarkiholi from Chikkodi became the youngest tribal woman to enter Parliament from an unreserved seat in Karnataka since Independence.
- In fact, the BJP has won all the seats in Mumbai Karnataka, except Chikkodi.

- Priyanka Jarkoli belongs from a politically powerful family. She is one of the three women elected for the Parliament from the state of Karnataka.
- She is the daughter of Satish Jarkiholi, minister of Public Works Department, Karnataka. Priyanka has done her Masters from the Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University. She also has an MBA.

Notably, India’s exports to East Africa rose from US$8.6 billion in 2013 to US$9.4 billion in 2022, indicating a strengthening of trade relations.

Sumit Nagapal wins his 6th ATP Challenger Tennis Title
